Metro Diner

Had dinner Sunday evening. Ordered chicken strips and received three small one and onion rings that looked re-heated. Service was good so I assume that they are reducing portions.

Updated - 4/19. Charlie, the manager contacted me and we agreed to try again. Had a great meal and will return.

Food is usually good. I had the fried chicken and mashed potatoes, it was very good. Seasoned well, gravy on potatoes was very good and steamed broccoli was excellent. Waitress was very polite and even assisted with my elderly grandfather. Will definitely be back.

The food was great, no doubt. Everyone is extremely friendly and our server was accommodating. We did not have to wait long for our food. My only personal issue was seeing someone in the back. Before she grabbed plastic gloves, she wiped her forehead with her bare hand. Then she wiped her hand on her dirty apron. Then proceeded to put on the plastic gloves without any hand washing procedures. Other than that and a cook not having anything containing his hair or beard. It was a great time.

Very good food. Nice waitress. Manager went around asking how things were. Had the grilled chicken tenders so moist and juicy. Salad very fresh. Grilled vegetables a bit greasy but very flavorful. Will definitely try it for breakfast. Good luck to them hope they do well in the Villages
