I take any one who visits to this restaurant. It is so wonderful and quaint. I have been going over 20 years and am never disappointed. Great pancakes. Great bacon and ham. Excellent homemade bread. So many wonderful things. Also a great trail, mini museum, boat tour and swimming hole. You can rent canoes and paddle boats. There is something for everyone.
Like everyone else reports, get here early! Beautiful outside waiting with nice shaded areas. Came on a Thursday morning by 9:15am and there was already a 30 minute wait. The building is old, so it is warm. But what a fun experience! And the pancakes themselves are delicious. My only complaint is that an order of bacon is only two pieces! Otherwise, a fun time for sure!
Get here early!! The place opens at 9 AM, and we got there at 9:30 and were told it'd be an hour and a half wait!! It was only a 40 minute wait, and I'm glad we waited. We loved the experience of cooking our own pancakes on the tabletop grills!! Prices were very reasonable and the staff was excellent. Well worth to 18% gratuity included in the check. Nice outdoor area with natural spring. I would highly recommend this place!!
A fun place for the whole family. I go at least once every trip to FL! Cook your own delicious all you can eat pancakes on the grill in the middle of your table. Sides and toppings are extra, but worth it. Friendly servers and staff. It's just a little tight at and around the tables, but worth dealing with the minor inconvenience.
Pancakes and family atmosphere here are remarkable. Wildlife is abundant on the boat tour $, including a professional nature guide that can name and explain every bird, tree, etc, and know where the alligators tend to hang out. There are nice nature trails. One is paved in about a mile loop. Others are longer and just paths (one is 4 miles)
When you arrive, if you do not already have a reservation for pancakes, put your name on the waiting list and then explore the park until your turn to make pancakes. You get all the fixings and grill your own pancakes at your table. Really fun and someone else cleans up!
They have many toppings- blueberries, pecans, chocolate chips, peanut butter, etc. You can order sausage, bacon, or ham too(which comes cooked).
I swam with my kids in the spring in January. The water is 73 degrees year round. Probably that's more fun in the summer.
You can see manatees there who like the warm water, but the water is more clear to see them at other places.
Summary: this is a unique and very fun place. A must do for Central Florida.
