Great BBQ! Loved the macaroni and cheese. The mustard BBQ sauce is a hit. Great brisket. Would have been better to give tip at the table, not when we order at the entrance. The food came out 5 minutes after we sat down. You have to get your own drink. We will be back.

Different experience than what I’m used to, but great experience. When you walk in you look at the menu on the left decide what you want order at the cashier and then pay and sit anywhere. The seating is very nice and the food was delicious! I had a seven layer carrot cake that was not too sweet. First time but definitely not my last.

Food came out pretty quickly. Husband and I had the brisket and pulled chicken. The brisket was very good. The chicken was good but came with sauce already on it which we were not expecting. The pulled chicken had quite a few small bones in it so be careful when eating. We also had to get the refill on our own drinks as the servers were not near our table until we were nearly done eating. We know they are new and have some bugs to work out so we will probably give them another try when they have been open a little longer.

Had a three meat plate - brisket, pulled pork and sliced smoked turkey. I consider Sonny's Orange City the gold standard - Colt's meats have the same dry texture as Woody's. Not bad, but it's not Sonny's or 4 Rivers where the brisket is moist. Beans were good, they don't have the magic flavor that Sonny's beans have. Collard greens were tasty, I don't think Sonny's has collards at all. Cornbread at Colt's was good. I actually prefer their onion rings to Sonny's - probably the only item I had that I thought was superior to Sonny's. No soup & salad bar at Colt's. I prefer the standard sit-down and order setup at Sonny's, Colt's is semi-cafeteria style. You order and pay at the register and have the food brought to you, you don't have a dedicated server.

First day open and it was pretty good. We got sliced brisket, ribs, and pulled pork. The meat was pretty tender and the sides were good too. The wait is not too bad and the food comes out quick. You can seat yourself anywhere which is nice. We chose the "outside" area. Would recommend trying it out!
