I've been to this restaurant several times now. It's at least a 30 minute drive for me from Wilbur-By-The-Sea. I've never had a complaint about the food. Today I tried the Cod Rockefeller. Delicious. This is certainly no diet meal and I don't even want to know how many calories it was, but it was worth every calorie I consumed. ???? Shared the Banana Caramel Xango with the other person in my party. What a perfect way to finish off a delicious meal. I was definitely full from dinner but I could not pass up the opportunity to try a dessert. So I boxed up my dinner leftovers and dove into the dessert. I'm glad I did. This will be one of my regular go to restaurants from now on.
Alfie's has a wonderful laid back atmosphere and perfect location. The food is excellent and the service is very friendly. They treat their locals right and love visitors to. Definitely give them a try.

Our expectations for Easter breakfast were higher based on what we had heard about Alfie's from others. Service was very good, perhaps too good, as the waitress was around so often that it seemed like she was trying to be the highlight of our Easter breakfast - which she and the other servers were. Restaurants for us need to be a blend of service, food and ambiance. The service and ambiance was there. The food, despite an interesting menu devised by the executive chef, was bland. We had a simple omelet of cheese and mushrooms, and an adventurous Cajun shrimp Benedict. Both missed the mark. Even the coffee and an English muffin were below average. We will be going back, however, because the lunch and dinner menus look tantalizing, and we are hoping that Easter breakfast volume may have overloaded the cooks. Additionally, for locals there is an Alfie's dining club, with discounts for birthdays, anniversaries and other seasonal events. We're hoping Easter was just a one-off hickup for them. You'll see a subsequent review on what we find out.
Nice casual place with great view of ocean. Useful reward program with free entree on birthday and wedding anniversary. And of course the food tastes great. We too enjoy little library maintained by the Lion's club, and bring books to add. We were really touched today when the cook brought my husband additional french fries as he felt his first serving was too skimpy !
