Posey Beyond the Bay Restaurant

We were on a US 98 on a road trip and sightseeing. We wanted to stop somewhere for lunch and we found this place in Panacea. I had the steam shrimp with Old Bay seasoning with grits and hush puppies. I basically had shrimp and grits. I loved the Old Bay seasoning and those hush puppies were so good. We also had the key lime pie. That was the most whipped key lime pie I have had and it was very light and good. The place was busy but service was good and people were friendly. Stop by here for good seafood and good customer service.

A great family place serving wonderfully fresh and diverse seafood. Service is fast and cheerful

We ate here with five adults and a child and it was SO good we went two nights in a row. We all ordered different menu items and everyone was completely satisfied. Deviled crab was a favorite along with the crab cakes. The hushpuppies are delicious! Their shrimp is local and amazing and my sister raved about the seafood gumbo. Overall an excellent choice!

The prices are not inexpensive but it is because there is quality food involved here. Nothing fake, all real and that includes the service. The coleslaw was made by our server's grandfather and it was really good. No small portions here, and no one in my family went away hungry. Ordering cheese grits is always dicey, but there was plenty of cheese in the ones I ordered. The folks that work there are as good as the food.
