On our way east on I-10 we were looking for a place to stop while on a trip. We figured Defuniak Springs would be a place to stop when we were ready to eat. I have never been here before so we were unsure where to stop. After a few minutes of reading reviews on Google we decided to try 4C BBQ. We walked in and noticed a sandwich board with a few different notes and prices. It was a seat yourself establishment. They had menu items or a lunch buffet. We tried the buffet. Pricing was $9.99 for one trip and $15.99 for all you can eat. They had senior pricing as well. It seemed like a cool idea. We had a single trip buffet. They had several items to choose from. On my plate, I tried the beef stew, salisbury steak, pulled pork and smoked chicken. I also tried the cheese grits and the mashed potatoes. This let me sample a lot of different things but not be too full. Everything was pretty good for a 2 pm buffet trip. The pulled pork, salisbury steak and stew were my favorite things. The vegetables and starches we're pretty ordinary buffet fair so that was not what I wanted to try. They had turnip greens, corn, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy. The cheese grits were very good. This place is worth a try if you want to avoid fast food or long wait times. Crazy enough, this place is also doubles as a night club and had a huge stage and bar for those occasions.
Great buffet on a Sunday. I liked that they had two prices - one for a one trip to the buffet & another for a regular buffet. Nice gluten free options. The grits were nice & thick. Greens were seasoned well & loved the barbeque. Nice hidden gem.
They now have buffet on weekends, so freakin delicious!!! Can't go wrong going here for BBQ, best place in the panhandle.
Wow! My fiancé spotted this little spot from the road on the way to Pensacola, we are so glad he did. Has a great atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food! We tried the cheese curds-Omgosh! They were good! I had the bbq brisket sandwich and he had the smoked tuna. We thought we would share a plate of loaded fries, it’s enough for 4 ppl! But so very good.
Service was quick and food taste and portions were great. No beer on draft, but still a good selection of bottled.
