I don't eat seafood so my choices are usually limited at seafood restaurants, but my husband loves it! I had the pot roast sandwich and it was amazing! He loved his seafood platter, and we all enjoyed the hush puppies. Definitely would go back!
This is one of the 'must stop at...' destinations every time I go to Destin and Miramar Beach. Everything they make is spot on New Orleans. I have eaten at the NOLA location also...
I won't give recommendations for individual menu items except for this one exception...of you eat at Acme Oyster House and you do not get the bread pudding for desert, you are making a huge mistake. Order it. You will thank me. You are welcome.
I had the shrimp po-boy which was excellent and the seafood gumbo which was very good. I would eat here again.
We got it for takeout so I can not comment on the dine-in experience, but my limited contact while picking up the food was very pleasant.
We were searching for good oysters while in Destin. We tried a couple of other places and we were not impressed. The oysters elsewhere were small and not very tasty. But we tried Acme Oyster. 1st off they were shucking them right at the bar. They are big and very tasty. We enjoyed them so much we returned the next day. Highly recommend this place.
Absolutely must to go please. If you are in the area and like seafood, Acme is you perfect choice to get their famous chargrilled oysters. Don't think much and order fried crab claws and grilled fish of the day that's another thing you gonna like. The dessert for sure new Orleans bread pudding.
