Poppy's Crazy Lobster Destin

Randomly found this pace while, like you, looking for somewhere for dinner on vacation. This place is in a tourist area for sure, service was on point. Good was very tasty. Oysters are good and fresh. Cajun shrimp I had could have used some spice and move flavor but was still good. Fried pickles and alligator sausage apps were delicious. Good drinks. For sure will be back.

This is a place you want to love but...sadly you can't. First we made a reservation for a large top table days in advance of our arrival. Upon arrival, we waited for an hour and half after our reservation time. The manager finally came out and said our table was ready 45 minutes after our arrival...and we never saw her again. Once we sat down, it took another 20 minutes for someone to take our drink order, followed by another 20 minutes before the drinks arrived and we were able to place our order. About an 75 minutes later, after nearly all of the restaurant had cleared our food finally arrived. This was the best part about it...the food was very good. Overall, I think the quality of food is very good compared to most, if not all, of the similar establishments in the area. The down side is that the wait times are exceedingly long, even with a reservation. We arrived at 6:00 PM for our reservation, first food arrived at 8:30 PM and we left at nearly 10:30 PM (after closing)

This was our second experience at this restaurant with a similar experience. Great food, exceedingly long wait time.

Came here with a party of 16 for some seafood, which was very tasty. We sat outside and got to enjoy the live music. The service was okay. Our waitress didn’t do any drink refills or ask if we needed anything in the 2 hours we were there. My side of fries was also forgot about 3 times but it’s okay I enjoyed all the crab! Crab legs were super delicious.

This restaurant was a great find. The lobster, crab legs, and firecracker shrimp were delicious! Nice outdoor seating looking out at the bay. Family friendly dining, and they take reservations which is a plus!! Server was attentive! My kids loved the chocolate molten cake. I recommend this place if you love seafood with a New Orleans spin. It was pricey, but worth it!!
