I came in about a hour before close. Service was friendly and fast, and the lady at the register joked that she had quality checked the chocolate chip and pecan cookies many times cause I picked three up. I explained how a customer at my work had told me about the place so I finally decided to give them a try. She told me that was awesome and that she really hoped we enjoyed it. It was amazing. The vegetables aren’t from a can. I was lucky and got there just as fried chicken was coming out of the grease. My mom and brother were very happy with what they received. In my opinion best home cooking in Macon. Would definitely recommend to eat there!

Best chicken in middle GA by far! Delish home-cooked southern comfort food. Huge selection of temptingly fresh baked goods and fresh/fresh frozen produce as well. Try this place, you wont regret it.

OMG amazing southern cooking, chicken is to die for. The folks there are part of the experience. Might not be the most sophisticated part of town but don't let that fool you it's worth the trip. I see people form all over town coming here. Oh and the pies did I tell you about the pies? ???????????????? off the leash.

This fun little place offers traditional southern home cooked meals. They also have a small market with southern jams and jellies, fruits, and bakery goods. If you have a chance to stop by and have lunch one day I would recommend.

I have found the best southern food in middle Georgia! If you haven't been to Dawsons Kitchen, you're missing out. I had the Hamburger Steak with collard greans and rice with a roll. Everything was flavorful and hit the spot, just like your mama made it. They also have a market attached inside where you can bring home desserts, produce, homemade jelly and preserves. Great staff and wonderful service.
