Fiddler's Crab House

Very tasty menu. Crab cake was amazing, not premade. Staff was attentive and friendly. Great location on the water, outside dining at street level and second floor open balcony dining, as well as inside with a/c.

We were looking for a casual outdoor balcony to watch the the river boats while we dined. The moment the food was placed at the table a swarm of *at least* 20 large flies began attacking us and our food. It became a battle to eat and protect our food. Once the people at the next table got their dinners, we got a break and they had the battle! We had the spicy garlic shrimp and the shrimp salad sandwich. I would describe them as "ok". The bread that came with the shrimp was stale. A few came back to us and one dove right into my shrimp sauce and died in there instantly. Needless to say, I was not able to finish my meal. The server had no reaction or even surprise when I told her. Her reaction indicated it was a common occurrence. Nothing more was said or done by them or us. We were disappointed, frustrated and just wanted to leave. We wont be back.

The nicest staff ever. Sweet Red headed Gentleman with the beard.(Jessie?) From Athens, Welcomed us in at 10:30 when they closed at 11. He said "sure we can serve you" the other woman at the bar with dark hair offered this pregnant momma water and I was so grateful. The fried shrimp was fresh and the staff was welcoming. Would 10/10 return.

Giving it 5 stars mostly for amazing and juicy crab legs!! One bartender was lacking a bit on service (took too long to check on us and ask our order), but the other bartender seem to pick on that and was attentive. Great fiddlers mule and oysters were sublime!

Absolutely loved it. Stopped there for lunch. No wait to be seated. Food was prepared quickly (seriously I have waited longer for food at fastfood restaurants). Staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the balcony seating.
