Sundae Cafe

The calamari was not even ok was very bad...the steak was decent. The in house worchteshire sauce was good. Service was amazing. I'd definitely go back. Just stay away from the squid.

We have visited Tybee three other times in the past 5 years and somehow missed this treasure! We just happened upon it in a Google search this year and we are so glad we did! Fried green tomatoes for appetizer, Seared Shrimp and Grits for me (EIGHT large shrimp!) and Flounder (the entire fish minus the head!) for my husband. So delicious and perfectly cooked and portioned. Great friendly service! (Thanks Laurie, for the history of the restaurant AND the flounder tutorial!) We did not have a reservation but we will next time...we got lucky this time! Don't miss this island gem on your Tybee visit.

One of our fave places to eat on tybee island!! I love the fried oysters but everything we have gotten there is fabulous! Restaurant is clean as well as the bathrooms and all of the staff are very friendly and courteous. It's a great atmosphere for couples and families alike. The only thing you should know is that sundae is a very casual walk in place at lunch time but all of that changes in the evenings. For dinner, you must make a reservation and it's certainly not casual but the food is great!

One week vacation on Tybee Island with 2 families. 8 adults and 4 small children. We felt it best to order take out instead of taking children to restaurant. This establishment is amazing!! The young lady who took our order over the phone was excellent! She took 14 orders plus desserts with a couple of special food instructions. The food was prepared beautifully, on time and EVERY SINGLE ORDER WAS CORRECT! The best part was the food was absolutely delicious!! We are all foodies and we were pleasantly surprised to enjoy everything. I recommend Sundae Cafe wholeheartedly!!

Surprise birthday trip to Tybee Island. After enjoying bronze kisses from the sun for a few hours, my sweetie and I decided that we would try Sundae Cafe because Yelp had 4.5 stars. This was a quaint establishment with a full house of snowbirds. We where promptly seated and our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu as well as the specials. The food was great and the service was top notch. We will definitely return.
