Cajun food in a small north Georgia town? Yes, and it is very good! The food is Louisiana spicy and the drinks are very cold. I had a smoked sausage po 'boy (sandwich) with cajun mayo that was the perfect spicy combination. However, my friend ordered the sampler platter that included red beans and rice, gumbo, and two other dishes. He raved about the food and ate every drop. I'll be back.
This is a great local Cajun restaurant. We've been several times and everything has been great. The sampler is a favorite of ours.
We visited here from Charleston SC. The catfish basket was awesome, the best catfish I have had in a long time. The server was very attentive. Overall a great experience. If we are ever back in town, it would definitely be our first option.
My husband had the sampler and said there wasn't a bad thing on the plate. My fried shrimp we're awesome, hush puppies and fries were great. Everything tasted freshly made. Beignets were delicious, crab dip terrific. Service was great, can't wait to go back!
Very impressed and pleasantly surprised - this place was terrific! My husband and I stopped on a motorcycle ride to North Georgia Mountains passing through Ball Ground, Georgia. Little downtown area is adorable with a few small restaurants. This was one of the few restaurants still open when we walked in at 7:30pm on a Friday night. They are open until 8pm and were extremely friendly when we walked in so close to closing time - and the restaurant was almost full at that time too. Service was extremely pleasant and QUICK, food was VERY good and the atmosphere is adorable. I had the shrimp & grits which had a darker gravy that I'm used to - but it was very tasty and perfect textures (shrimp were cooked perfectly). Nicest part was they allowed me to order the LUNCH sized portion which was cheaper and appropriate amount for what I could eat - AND allowed me room to order their terrific Bread Pudding for dessert. My husband had the jambalaya w/ a HUGE pork chop that was cooked to perfect temperature (juicy yet cooked through). Several good restaurants in this very little area of town - but this is one we will be visiting many times again. Going for the beignets next time!
