Embodiment of the saying, "you get what you pay for." While in town overnight, walked across to Chuck's Fish, not sure what to expect, and had an excellent dinner. Portions, quality and preparation all made for a price worth paying. Will happily go back if ever in town again.

Being a first timer in Athens, Chucks was close to our hotel and had a welcoming exterior. We made the right decision choosing Chucks. Although I am not a seafood fan, our waiter carefully tailored a fish dish, caught fresh from Destin, for me. The food is exceptional, the staff is attentive, and the decorations are charming. I would recommend Chuck’s to anyone who finds themselves in this small university-town.

On a rare child- free night, my wife and I ate tried Chuck's for the first time last night. My wife's fish-of-the-day grouper artichoke dish was outstanding. Two of my sushi dishes were good but one was downright terrible, the uni shooter. I love uni and it's delicate taste is usually worth the high price. Unfortunately, they chose to serve it on a lemon half which I did not realize in the darkened restaurant. To say it was not an acidically balanced dish would be an understatement. It was literally a twelve dollar spoonful of lemon juice. Not just not good but truly unpleasant. When my waiter asked how it was, I said all I could taste was lemon, he said, yeah I should have told you not to squeeze it when you eat it. He didn't, I did, it was bad and this is what I will remember from this $100 meal for two. Stick to the fish and sushi.

Awesome experience! Have been wanting to check this place out since I saw they were renovating this building and it fully lived up to the standard I was hoping for. The scallops were incredible and I think the collards were the best I have ever had.

Poor pacing and drinks went empty fairly often. Struggled to get attention from our waiter and the restaurant is loud enough that I have to scream across the table. Sushi not really much to write home about, but marginally better than the Athens norm. Stick to the classic rolls to save money, you're not missing out on much with the house specials.
In short, I would let my parents take me here for a dinner, but wouldn't stomach the $40+ bill on my own time.
