Had the pleasure of being welcomed into Georgia from Montana. She is an amsolute pleasure and her food is fantastic! The gumbo was bold and delicious and the "James" sandwich is spectacular. I love that they use actual spiral cut ham instead of deli meat. It's an experience all on its own.
We will be back!
Nice spot in the "Normaltown" section of Athens. Good choice for catered food trays and has a small indoor and outdoor seating area as well. Modern versions of southern classics. Check out their cheese grits and the smoked salmon bruchetta tray. Some really big cookies inside their shop as well
My mother in law and I went across the street while my husband was in surgery for Marti's lunch. Neither of us had been before and we we're surprised at how good the food was. Everything was fresh and tasty. We sat outside since it was a nice, Fall day, and while there was a bit of a wait to order, we found seats easily. I definitely want to go back!
I highly recommend Marti's at Midday for your wedding bridal brunch and lunch. Kim Hayes and her staff did an amazing job with the brunch and lunch for the bridal party for the day of the wedding. Ever since my daughter, Amelia Rhodes Cline went to UGA, she has always loved Marti's. We have gone many times together. When she was thinking of a special brunch for the wedding, of course Marti's was the best choice.
Kim was able to assist us in creating a fabulous menu and food was delicious!
If you are planning a wedding in the Athens, Ga area, please consider reaching out to Kim Hayes. She is amazing!
Best chicken salad on earth! Great food! The cakes are divine and who doesn’t love the staff? Marti has to be one of the sweetest kindest people I’ve ever met. Also on a side note I’ve seen the same folks working there for years! That has to say something ;)
