Taco Stand

Living in Athens 2+ years. Heard about Taco Stand early, and have since been a regular. Extremely decent burritos, and the fish tacos are fish generous & terrific alone/with whatever. Easy on the wallet, never disappointed with food quality. Folks at Prince Ave/Milledge locay take care of business. Nothing special as far as ambience- it's a joint. Is clean enough, tables aren't sticky (we usually do take-out). Love it. Our go-to comfort thing. Absolutely an Athens asset.

A long time favorite, but pretty much just your basic tex-mex spot. I recommend mega nachos with chicken(I opt out of the black olives). My other go to would be hard shell chicken tacos, though if you're a ground beef type its also just what you would want. The sauces aren't very hot so if you want any burn (and in my opinion the best flavor) always go with extra hot.. it is also a bit watery so you have to eat the crunchy tacos soon or else the bottom will fall out. And as an extra tip, even in summer it can be cold inside so bring sleeves.

Decent experience. Made the mistake of ordering black beans in my burrito. There were so many beans I could hardly taste or see the grilled chicken.
