1885 Grill Acworth

While dining with girlfriends for a Christmas party, we hoped for a lovely quiet dinner. The food was fabulous, the servers were wonderful but the atmosphere was more of a sports grill. To speak to others at the same table we were yelling to hear one another. If they could find a way to decrease the noise it would improve the restaurant and the enjoyment of all who enjoy the lovely food.

We are so excited to have this amazing restaurant in our town. I have had the luxury of sampling many items on the menu and have loved every bite! The crab bisque is unlike any other, the wings are perfectly crispy, steak is cooked to perfection, every side item is delicious and I highly recommend you DO NOT skip dessert! You won’t regret ordering the pecan pie bread pudding.

My wife and I went for our 4th Anniversary. We made a reservation to ensure seating, and would advise doing so going forward. We were greeted and immediately seated. We were offered outside seating, though we originally requested inside (due to possible weather). Our server, Veda, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We used the online menu to order. There were a few items on the menu that we inquired about, but were unfortunately unavailable. This was no fault of the restaurant. We ordered the Sea Scallop appetizer, the Shrimp and Grits for my wife, and the Scottish Salmon for myself, with a side of hush puppies and a small salad. Everything was fresh, cooked to order, and delicious. We did not see a dessert menu, but overheard another table ordering, so we inquired. We had the Pecan Bread Pudding. This was a true experience. We had a fantastic time, and enjoyed every moment of it, including our interaction with all the staff.
Bottom line; make a reservation, come hungry, and enjoy every moment until you get your fill.
This restaurant is very close (within walking distance) of our home, and rest assured, we will be returning!

Great new place in Acworth! For their grand opening first night, we thought it went very smoothly!
Nice new modern facility next to the park. The food quality and service were good. Nice app of Pimento Cheese & Okra was different and tasty! The Shrimp & Grits had the availability to order traditional grits or cake or split 50 50. Go with the 50 50. The traditional grits and cake are very good. The quality of shrimp were as well. The Low Country Boil was OK, not a bunch of flavors. They use smoked sausage which doesn't spice it up with blended flavors.
Bar sitting area or outside seating as well.
