LongHorn Steakhouse

My son is in town for Labor Day. He wanted to take me to lunch. It had been a while since the two of us went out to eat. We initially wanted italian food but ended up at Longhorn Steakhouse. When we walked in, it took a "minute" for the hostess to great us, although the lunch bunch was already gone. After she acknowledged us, in mid sentence, she answered a phone call without even as "excuse me". I thought right then, oh no this is not going to be a good experience. She showed us to our table and then our server came and greeted us with a smile. That changed everything. He was full of personality and even joked when I said I wanted my New York Strip well done. He said you want your steak to taste like leather. My son and I had a good laugh. He was very attentive. He refilled my son's raspberry lemonade before it was empty. He asked us to check our steaks before we left the table. Mine had a touch of pink. When I ordered I had said no pink. He offered to have it cooked more. I said no thank you. I have seen too many of those shows about what can happen to your food when you send it back to the kitchen. The steak was delicious and did not taste like leather! My son and I enjoyed our lunch outing all because our server greeted us with a smile and provided great customer service. I am so appreciative that my son and I were able to share a great lunch together, since we do not get the chance often.

Great food always. I was with a large group. They got every order perfect. We were served in a very timely matter. I was very impressed. They were so sweet to us too!

My prime rib was overly exceptionally fatty. 12 oz. Cut about 20% fat with 3 medallions of meat in it. They said that's normal... like in my 45 years I've not had a vast amount of steaks and shouldn't know a poor cut of meat. But overall taste was good and atmosphere was comfortable

They always do things right. Service was great good was delicious. No complains. I had the salmon, a sweet potato and asparagus. Salmon was cooked to perfection. Sweet potato was excellent, as well as the asparagus.
