My wife and I had noticed the Angry Crab Shack several times over the past few months, but we were waiting for the perfect occasion to try it out. Finally, on my wife's birthday yesterday, we decided to have lunch there today (Thursday). As we walked into the clean and pleasant dining room, we couldn't help but feel a bit skeptical since it was relatively empty. However, we decided to give it a chance, and we're so glad we did.

Firstly, I want to give a shout-out to our waiter, 'Q'. He was the kindest and most helpful waiter we've encountered in Acworth this year. He made sure we were satisfied with each dish we ordered, and we ordered quite a bit. When we opened the menu, my wife jokingly said, "I want one of everything," so we did our best to try a variety of dishes.

Now, I read some reviews before writing my own, and I was surprised to see some complaints about the prices. However, I believe those individuals may have misjudged because our bill was only high due to our desire to show appreciation for the amazing service we received.

I also want to mention the person who assisted Q behind the bar. Although we didn't catch his name, he ensured that our food arrived at our table hot and ready. Speaking of the food, it was fantastic. I personally rate it 4 out of 5, but my wife insists it's closer to 4.8 out of 5, which I completely agree with. If I were eating the same meal at a restaurant by the ocean, I would easily give it a 5-star rating, assuming it was made with the freshest catches. However, I don't believe that's the case here, but I could be wrong.

We ordered the lobster Crostini as an appetizer (4 stars), a side of Caesar salad (5 stars), clam chowder (6 stars if possible), wings with Q's special sauce (that sauce thooooooo! 6stars) , fried shrimp with red beans and rice(5stars),fries, and a serving of jambalaya (5 stars). We didn't order anything from the kids' menu, but if they serve Kraft Mac n cheese, it's a win because there's no need to make fancy mac and cheese for a child who won't appreciate its richness. Let Karen go to Ruth's Chris or something.

Overall, we had a fantastic experience, rating it 4.8 out of 5. We plan to return for Mother's Day in a few days, taking advantage of the awesome deal they're offering for moms. They also have great deals for graduates this year, so make sure to plan a visit here with your caps! Thank you again to Q, and we hope the consistency remains because we haven't found any other place that has made us want to come back like this one.

Family friendly vibe.. Sat at the bar and was attended by a friendly server.. The lobster roll was delicious, get it warm and with a side of cajun and garlic sauce to pour on it!! Also the lobster crostini was soooo good.. lastly the cornbread and ice cream dessert was the perfect ending.. Hope you go hungry so you can enjoy all 3!!

We had a nice dinner and will be back! Our server Anna was very helpful and nice and the food was good. We had the charred oysters and a mixed seafood boil bag and I had the chili mango margarita with Cajun rim. We ordered the fried cornbread for dessert which was surprisingly good too.

This is a relatively new place, and we’re glad to have found it after a long startup.

Our server, Barrett, set us up while greeting us warmly. He made several recommendations and conferred with Terry about her special needs and diet. We got a fine, crisp set of tasty onion rings, and started the lunch.

I had a wonderful scallop bowl with noodles and some zesty sauce. And DO ask: Barrett advised that the sauces run “hot”, and he was right. The chef cooked the scallops perfectly, and the noodles were soft and just chewy for some texture while I ate. The vegetables in the bowl were delicious: firm but warm, and ready to dip in the sauce.

We declined dessert because we were stuffed. We will go back, and perhaps then we can sample the after-dinner treats.

Food was pretty good. I got the jambalaya and catfish basket. My mom got the crab and shrimp seafood broil. My kids got the hamburger and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese is kraft, which is fine since my son likes it. We got a side of red beans and rice, my mom didn't really like it because the beans were so big. The broil was great, my son tore up his hamburger, the catfish was good and crispy. The jambalaya was good but I didn't see any rice in it. Overall decent experience.
