El Nopal Mexican Restaurant

Good food at very reasonable prices. Excellent salsa as well. Margaritas are a little weak, and could stand some improvement. But the food was great.

A clean restaurant with courteous and friendly staff. Don't take my word for it. Come there and you'll be equally impressed.

We came here Sunday after church and it was extremely busy. The were very attentive and we were seated in about 5 minutes. The service was great as well. The food was served nice and hot and you couldn’t even tell the establishment was busy. I will be back soon.

I’ve eaten here three times. The first time the restaurant was filthy and the hostess seated us at a clearly dirty table that had trash on the table and the booth seats. The booth across from us also remained uncleaned for the full duration of time we were there. My waiter then was barely seen, but he was very friendly. The second and third times, the places was a little cleaner. I have to wonder if they’re a bit understaffed sometimes?

Salsa isn’t good. It’s pretty mediocre, and very cilantro tasting. First time, chips were cold and stale. Second and third time there were slightly warm, but not great. They were okay enough. Tortillas are fine, chicken is flavorless, shrimp were okay, rice was okay the second and third time. It was terrible the first time. Prices were about average. I’ve eaten worse Mexican food for more just off 41. Cheese dip was okay.

I’m giving a 3 star largely off the second and third visits, as the horrible performance of that first visit, I’d like to think was an off day for them. We all have bad days.

Went in tonight with a party of 26 people. We had called ahead a couple days ago. Only had to wait a couple minutes for them to get the tables ready. I want to say we had one waiter and he was great. To have that many people in a party I want to say he did great. Food was good also, as always. I go there quite a lot but not with that big of a party.
