Holy Pepperoni! I just found my new best pizza place. My husband and I enjoy good food, not fast food. Mangiamo makes their food from scratch, not frozen. The wait is well worth it. We went for lunch and i had a pepperoni pizza and my husband had a meat Stromboli The pizza crust was amazing! I asked the owner, Damaris, the secret and she said ‘New York water’. Being from New Jersey, I totally get it. What a difference the water makes. The mozzarella, sauce and pepperoni were fresh and seasoned perfectly. My husband said the Stromboli was the best he ever had. Full of meat. It was so big, he had to take half of it home. Our server, Elizabeth, was gracious and helpful in answering all our questions. For a place to be opened only two weeks, they have their act together. Victor and Damaris should be proud of what they accomplished. They will be putting out an announcement at the end of the month via social media. Keep an eye out for it. Also, sign up for their VIP rewards on their website. Wait staff was attentive and apologetic for the long wait for food. We waited for about 10 minutes to be seated.
Our shrimp & calamari appetizer arrived 8 minutes after ordering. It was a very tiny portion (7 shrimp and 8 tiny calamari rings) for a very expensive price of $17.
Our calzone took over 40 minutes to come out. We wanted to order garlic knots but they were sold out.
The atmosphere, servers and food were good but the kitchen needs to catch up with the orders which will come with time.
We had two of their pizzas: the margarita and the Victor. Both were cooked perfectly! Crispy thin crust, great cheese combinations, but the sauce was the lead role and stole the show!! Also had the garlic knots with marinara that was the best I’ve tasted!! Fabulous flavors all the way around!! Can’t wait to try the rest of their menu!!
My son and I had dinner on Wednesday night of the soft opening. The food was delicious. Everyone was so friendly. We had the calamari/shrimp appetizer, chicken parm and spaghetti with meatballs. Portions were generous and prices were very good. We will definitely be back. We didn’t get pizza, but it looked really good!
