Food was good. Always a wait and they also forgot something. But very nice and helpful otherwise.

I have not eaten here in about 15 years because all the locations in my area have closed. I was so looking forward to eating here tonight. The food was good. Not great but was good. Everything decor wise was exactly how I remembered it and was a really good nostalgic meal for me.
Now what was very terrible was the speed/slowness that was present in everyone's order, not just mine. It took close to 20 minutes (once I started paying attention to how long it was taking) to get my food. I literally had to go up and check on it 3 times. Then when they brought it out they still needed 5 minutes more for the chicken. The okra and green beans were cold.
Overall I stand by that it was good though.

The food was consistently good with the exception of the green beans and corn on the cob. Those items tasted old. The staff were all very pleasant and friendly. The restaurant was clean and neat. The A/C unit directly over the booth dripped condensation on the table, but it was nothing major. My suggestion would be to clean condiment station better, clean the lids on the malt vinegar bottles and clean the bottle exterior, they felt a little grimy. But over all this visit was very positive and we will return.
