The good is usually pretty good, but it's incredibly slow. Always. Be prepared to sit 10-15 minutes waiting on your food as the lone car in the drive thru
About every 3 months I get a craving for Captain D's. I generally try to shy away from fast food. But when I want a piece of fried fish, I end up at Captain D's. It hasn't changed in 50 years. I know I'm going to get a piece of fried fish that's not over battered. Some really good restaurants still don't know how to batter and fry fish. This location on Cobb Pkwy is new. It's clean and the service is spot on. When I got to the pick up window I saw their health score. It was 100. The food tasted clean and the plate looked good. So don't be afraid to go visit the Captain. I'm willing to bet it's as good or better than the Fish & Chips you're going to find on the Marietta square. For half the price.
I live barely a mile from the Canton Road store; but when a craving hits, I gladly drive the extra 3 miles to go to the Cobb Pkwy location. They have a smaller parking lot, so this is meant to be more of a drive-through location than a sit down spot. The building itself is maintained very well, the staff are friendly, and the food is always piping hot and fresh. The okra was scrumptious, and so was the coleslaw. Keep up the great work y’all!
Nicer than any Captain D's I've ever been to. Very clean, friendly staff. I got the giant fish sandwich today and a side of butterfly shrimp 🍤. Their fish is really good. Everything else on their menu is just ok. But the broiled cajun catfish is my favorite.
