Doughnut Dollies

I hate to say it, but this place was a major let down. The presentation of the donuts was absolutely beautiful! I was tempted to try flavor combos I’m never interested in based solely on looks. Which is why the actual flavor, or lack thereof may have been so disappointing. Maybe I’m just picky, but the donuts tasted like the flavor was on mute; there was just something missing. I got the chocolate glazed and the apple crumb cake and they were both mediocre at best, especially considering the price. They were both extremely greasy as if they’d been fried in grease that was a bit too cool, however they were a bit too dry at the same time. While the donuts were edible, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend them to a friend based off of what I had today. Considering all the other 5 star reviews I would say it’s possible today was just an off day, maybe I’ll get a 5 star donut on my next visit.

Penny was super great starting conversation and not rushing me out. I had been upstairs at Canvas (great Cafe as well) and I had another meeting at the same spot but I needed a quick change of scenery. Man, I'm bringing my family back to get some more great doughnuts. Much better than sublime donuts IMO. I got a mixed dozen to take to my wife who was working a 12 hr shift at the hospital. Her entire floor crew were begging for more info about where I got them from. Truly a gem find. Stop by early because they run out.... Like a true doughnut shop should because they make them daily.

The doughnuts here are absolutely amazing. A little on the pricier side, but well worth every penny spent. I definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for breakfast or just a good bite to eat
