From the reviews, I can see that several other people have arrived at this "Open 24 hrs" Race Trac only to find out that someone in charge had decided to close it. Most reviewers say they could even see employees inside while the store was closed! I suppose the employees (or owner?) who decided to close for the night didn't want to lose the hours from their pay. It would be one thing if none of the employees were available to work, but if you are going to be paying the labor costs for employees to be on site, why not stay open as expected to help offset the labor costs?? I'd be REALLY surprised if an exec at RT's would be "okay/fine" with the owner of this individual franchise deciding on what appears to be an ongoing and frequent practice of closing on a whim(?) at random times on multiple occasions because it negatively affects the reputation of all Race Tracs Generally, a franchisee is expected to toe the line or risk losing their franchise license. If you experienced this, I suggest that, like me, you consider emailing RT's corporate office and make them aware of this. The public can only assume the owner doesn't actually care about meeting the expectations of customers at Race Trac regarding service, consistency, and quality. Making this even more apparent is the fact that this owner chooses not to respond to complaints and all negative feedback on this Google review page;. He has literally responded only to the reviews that are complimentary and completely ignores the others! That reflects the poor customer service found in this particular Race Trac: The attitude and morale of the employees starts at the top and trickles down. Bad customer service is usually from an emoyee's lack of respect for the customer with total disregard that it's the customers who provide that paycheck. It's as if they don't like people in general. So, why would this owner, who lacks a commitment to customer satisfaction, decide to open a business that requires a lot of face-to-face contact and interactions between its employees and its customers?? He/She may have been better with a self service car wash or laundromat.
