Frank's Family Restaurant

It was so good to stop by Frank's again. We were in town for a wedding and very limited time, but finding time for Frank's a must, even if it is just cake to go the wine selection is impressive, the food is amazing and the lemon chiffon cheese cake, cake ...oh my! Lemon cake so light and fluffy that if they didn't set the creamiest cheese cake ever on top of it, it would float away. All of this covered with lemon whipped butter heavenly frosting. There is nothing that is not 5 star at franks. Should be on Atlanta's top 10 list, and the south sides top 5. Figure in the prices and Frank's just became the 1 spot in ATL.

Every one loved their meal. Deserts were phenomenal. It's a little pricey until you realize you have a full to go box. The waitress seemed really annoyed that we were there. It was maybe 3pm on a Saturday, there were only 2 other tables occupied, so she wasn't busy. The whole place is kinda shabby, but it is an old place. Bathroom needs serious work. 5 stars still, the food was that good.

Cold (take a sweater)! Chicken Ziti Florentine was good but a little too much garnish and sauce that was heavy on the oil. A lot of food for the money. Soup is included in the meal price but I don't eat beef so I couldn't get the soup as there was no alternative to the Vegetable Beef soup.

Rarely do I give a five star rating. This one deserves it. Second visit. Both times with family. Everyone loved their food. Decent prices, huge portions. Lots to box up and take home for another meal. Thanks Frank's!!!

So it was good. I got the steak burger and fries and it was plenty filling. I also tried the potatoes which were quite good. The atmosphere is quaint, not modern but not a total dive either.

No draft beers minus one star for that but they do carry bottles and they have iced mugs (nice touch). I can't see any reason why we wouldn't come back.
