What a great place! Small-town service (great!) and friendliness. Great food, too. Barely a half-hour outside Atlanta. Worth the drive!
Service was really great. The food was good flavor-wise. It just seemed like everything was cooked or smoked yesterday. From the corn muffin to the chicken, to the ribs, and the brisket. Decent flavor but it just seems like it wasn't fresh from that day. The fresh fries were cold. The brisket Philly was cold. Although the owner was nice enough to compliment that sandwich. My wife ordered a salad with no cheese, and it came with cheese. They gladly remade it.
BBQ was decent. The jalapeño poppers were amazing. They were excellent. The family loved the Mac and cheese. Service was outstanding. Great place to stop for lunch.
Going on the Walking Dead tour in Senoia, GA but got into town early. So, we saw Katie Lou’s Cafe was open and they served breakfast! I ordered the biscuit with sausage gravy and my wife a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit and banana pudding. Hands down, the best sausage gravy I have ever had! And hands down, the best banana pudding my wife has ever had! Even better than the famous Magnolia bakery in NYC. Service was friendly and calming. Prices are extremely reasonable. Well worth your time to drop by and grab a bite.
First time, so awed by authentic taste. Reminded me of my southern Mom. Country fried steak, mashed potatoes, fried okra. So good, great staff and seating. Casual and friendly. Very nice????
