Brisket was tender but also a tad dry and lacked the smoke flavor the ribs had. We were there for early lunch so maybe was just a bad draw. Got peach cobbler to go and it was amazing”

“Haven't eaten Popeye's in about a decade. Was traveling through town & looking for something to eat. Saw there weren't many cars here so decided I'd try out one of the chicken sandwiches I've heard so much about. Got the spicy one. It was pretty good. Don't know if I'd want one often, but I'd definitely consider getting another one down the road.”

“My wife and I visited J3 today for the first time and it was AMAZING! We both had pulled pork, hers was naked and mine was a sandwich. The meat was perfect, tasted so darn good! Our sides included Brunswick stew which my wife raved about, the BBQ beans and fries were also delicious! Friendly, polite staff, clean inside and great atmosphere to enjoy their delicious BBQ. “My wife and I are in town from Florida for a wedding and was wondering around town stopping in little shops and the history museum and decided to have a late lunch at the American. We had a great wait person named Kendell that made sure we had everything we needed. We are an older couple and we split the Tomato Pie and the Prime Rib French Dip. Instead of us splitting the sandwich, Kendell had the sandwich and fries split for us on our own plate along with our own individual ketchup cups. The food was good and we loved the place and will go back again when we come back to town.”
