Great find! Friendly and helpful service, comfortable setting. The flatbreads were excellent, flavorful with perfectly textured bread. Highly recommend the English IPA for a refreshing beer that I don't often see on taproom lists. This place is a bit off the beaten track but sure glad we found it.
Avondale's newest hidden treasure! It's a family friendly brew pub with an eclectic rotating menu. They have NO sodas only homemade lemonade and it's delicious - tart and not too sweet! Their beer selection is geared for all tastes. Prices are reasonable and the food is always fresh and there is always something new to try. If you aren't looking for pizza or pricey fine dining give The Lost Druid a try. It's got something for everyone!
What a delightful spot for brunch! Although I don’t drink beer, I met friends there and thoroughly enjoyed The Lost Druid. I had the omelette and it was delicious with wonderful fresh ingredients. The atmosphere is light and bright with high ceilings, wide open space, and great lighting. Would definitely recommend.
Great new Brewery and kitchen hidden in Avondale Estates. FYI: it's down a dark street but actually right behind Your Mom's Basement. Great beers on tap, the food is amazing, and lots of space! The kitchen is actually open til 10 most evenings so perfect for a late night bite. Was a little slow on the Sunday night we went, and service was phenomenally fast! Would highly recommend as a regular beer stop! Even if just for the amazing food!
We visited the brewery for the first time today and unfortunately were disappointed. It's a nice building, inside and out, but we found the beers we sampled in our flight to be mostly flavorless. The Stout and the IPA were decent, however, with the Stout being the best of the five that we tried. They only recently opened so we wondered if perhaps their mix was off today. Also, although they didn't appear to be very busy, it took longer than it should have for someone to take our order. We sat at the bar and watched several staff walk past us a few times without looking at us. At least make eye contact and say that someone will be with us as soon as possible. The person who took our order was nice and did a good job of explaining the beers to us. The 5 sample flight looked great when they brought it. But as stated, 3 of the beers were lacking in flavor. Although we didn't order food, we sat by the kitchen window and saw the orders coming out. Everything looked delicious and well prepared. They have a nice menu with a number of great sounding items. The chef spoke with us a couple of times and we found her to be very nice. The male bartender, however, may been having a bad day in that he didn't seem too friendly. Fairly business like in his interactions with folks, though he did go through the beers again when he brought the flight. One thing though, when he checked us out he took the cash and asked if we wanted change back. I've never had a bartender do that. I was caught off guard and so I said we didn't need any change back, which left a much bigger tip than the 20% I customarily leave. I believe they should bring the change and let the customer take out the appropriate tip. In general, the staff could have been more animated and look like they're enjoying interacting with the customers, as the chef was doing with us. We want the brewery to do well and hope to come back sometime down the road. We want to enjoy being there but today cut our visit short. Today may have simply been an off day for the beer and for the staff.
