Southbound

Delicious food, friendly atmosphere. The only downside were slow drink/refill service, and a tad bit pricey. Not terrible, just a tad.

The service was excellent. Our server was very knowledgeable about the entree items and drinks. The pork was a little dry, but everything else eas excellent. Definitely get the deviled eggs. They are amazing!

I enjoy the salads here especially, but almost every item I've tried has been pretty good. It ends up being pricier for a lunch, maybe, but it's nice quality stuff and good flavors, reasonable portions.

The Brussels sprouts salad is yum but probably not the healthiest choice. It's heavy for a salad. The salad with grains is just excellent. And they have decent sandwiches and a great veggie plate option.

Once, the food was served overly hot and was scalding, and the waiter did not seem concerned. That service was unfortunately off-putting. But that was more than a year ago. I kept going back for the awesome coffee shop upstairs, so eventually I gave Southbound another try. I think that bad experience was a fluke - only good experiences since.

And the to-go orders are always pretty prompt, too. Bartender takes those orders and he's attentive and professional.

We really enjoyed the meal we had here! Really great southern food, phenomenal drinks, and excellent service! My smoked short rib was incredible. The inside is gorgeous as well. I highly recommend!
