Jay Bhavani Decatur (Indian Restaurant)

I am new to Indian cuisine, but I'm loving the journey. We had the JB Thali plate which was like a sampler: paneer, pickled/fermented veggies, samosa, lentils, curried chickpeas, this DELICIOUS donut that I can't pronounce the name of, and a bed or rice. It also came with a small mango lassi that was very good. SOOO filling. My husband and I shared it, and I'm very full. The flavors and aromas are so complex, yet everything goes together. The fermented veggies weren't really for our palate because they were very strong, but if you enjoy fermented foods then you'll probably love them. The rest of the plate was WHOLLY devoured. There was this flatbread that changed my life. We're 100% coming back to try more.

This place was delicious! I’m not a vegetarian but I could be if I ate this food everyday. It was so flavorful, and Krupa was so sweet. She took the time to explain the menu to us. Not to mention it was extremely clean. We ordered a dosa which was the savory crepe and the sev puri which had the pomegranate seeds on it.

I came in here with zero expectations and left nourished and full!! The waitresses were so sweet and patient with me, happily giving me a recommendation when I didn't know what to order.
The couches in the front are adorable and there's wonderful music and art.

Absolutely blown away by it!

The food tastes exactly like the Ahmedabad one! I went twice and ordered the vadapav (hands down the best vadapav I had in the states) , ghotala dosa, dabeli, manchurian noodes and (my fav.) cold coco. Delicious food.

Amazing experience overall! The staff went above and beyond to help and guide me and the atmosphere was decent.

Just opened and looked good so we thought we'd give it a try. We were recommended the ghotala dosa with gravy on side and exotic melting sandwich. They were both really tasty, not too spicy and full of flavor. The sandwich especially was delicious had a great mix of savory and freshness and had a great crunch. Nice chill atmosphere. Will come again!
