This is my first visit to Taqueria El Vecino and I enjoyed everything from the food, margarita and the service was outstanding. I would hear a lot people talk about this place so I had pay a visit and try for myself and I’m very glad I did. The bartender, Daniel was awesome and he made delicious margaritas!

I had been wanting to try this restaurant for months and finally was able to for dinner during the week. I couldn't make up my mind so I ordered three taco dinner and it was great. The tacos filled me up so rice and beans were my lunch the next day which were also flavorful. Love the salsa bar. Also had an excellent Margarita. Great wait staff service too. Definitely will be going back!

We really enjoyed Taqueria El Vecino. They're kid-friendly, service was good, food was great, prices reasonable. We had steak and fried chicken tacos, both very tasty. Chicken mole tamale was pretty good (that's on me, really, mole just isn't my favorite, but they were out of rajas). The beef tamale was delicious. We really liked the salsa bar. So many places charge for salsa at all, these guys have a bar set out with several varieties, all made fresh. Along with some condiments like roasted corn, cilantro, lime, etc. We'll definitely be returning, and hopefully they'll have the pork tamale next time, it's my favorite style. But if not I'll get two beef because that one was great.

There was nothing in particular I could point to that made this a bad experience, it just wasn't memorable. For starters, the food is kind of mediocre. Again, not bad, just not great. Mostly just lacked flavor. The presentation was actually really great, so the food looked better than it tasted, unfortunately.

The service experience was similar. Nothing was really bad, there were just a lot of small things that added up to a mediocre experience. To start with, they don't bring you salsa, it's in the middle of the restaurant. This is totally fine, except no one told us, so we sat there for 3-5 minutes until my wife noticed someone getting salsa at the station. It also took just a little longer than normal to get our waters and drink orders. Again, by itself not a big deal. Our server also appeared to be somewhat annoyed the whole time, which in a restaurant that employs quite a few high school students, I can only imagine she was frustrated with them (the bartender yelled at them a few times). I figured she was having a bad day, so I gave her a pretty good tip in hopes to help her mood out a bit!
