“Java Saga has a vibe and location that is reminiscent that of an area in downtown LA. You could almost miss it, if you didn't know what you were looking for. Cool artwork, chill area, and if it weren't for the current covid situation, then this I could see this as a popular hang out, chill and eat place. Friendly to first time visitors and great service. Hours are posted and I would suggest not going exactly when they open. I've always found it to be better when you give the owners and cooks time to prep first. Menu is very assorted and let's you experiment with what kind of flavors you are looking for. First thoughts are to go to coffee drinks, but from there you have choices that are a "must try." I decided to go with the ABC fried chicken sandwich, and it was well worth the travel and wait. Super crunchy and plenty of sauce that rivals other fried chicken establishments. Add a side of 'exotic fries' and you've got yourself a plentiful sized platter that leaves you fully satisfied. There's also a 'Boba Tiger Blood' drink that is a bit iffy at first, but is refreshing for these hot days. Like a brown sugar milk tea or iced coffee taste. Don't forget to tip and support businesses! Overall I say this is a must try place. Especially since the location leaves plenty of room to socially distance yourself from others, but still have a good meal with friends and family.”

“The food was hot and fresh. The service was great, the women at the front were very nice. But the food overall, unfortunately was sub par. Why? It was bland. The whiting was fried nicely but had no seasoning. The fried rice basically tasted like oily white rice with no seasoning. The boneless wings had the most flavor on my plate. Spicy honey garlic, it was pretty good. Unfortunately the chicken was a bit dry. I may come here again for the traditional wings but not any of the items I had today.”

“Great service and great training it seems. The employees know what they are doing and are quick with expediting. The store has been there for 13 years and it doesn't look a day over 5. Great job keeping the crew well trained and cleaning oriented. Malcolm was a great and inviting shift leader. My only suggestion would be to make sure the cleaning supplies are stored away after use in the lobby. But great job”

“I can vouch for the truth of their advertising--there is magic in this kitchen. Strip mall Chinese American cuisine of this caliber is rare, but when you find it, ahh... that's the stuff! A hard-working family is behind the potency of their particular magic. If you want to feel slightly better about eating out, for near the cost of a fast food meal, you can have higher quality food, served hotter and faster (sometimes) than "fast food" places, and served by very pleasant and polite staff. Support local small businesses like this. The world, and you, will be better for it. I recommend General Tso's Tofu, his chicken, the beef rolls, and a vegetable dish of your choice. The hot and sour soup, which tells me a lot of what I need to know about the chef, is really good. Try the homemade tea or lemonade. They do have a special diet menu. Don't get any sauce unless you absolutely have to. You'll want to savor every bite. Also, be kind, use your own cutlery if you can. The white rice is very nice. If you like to actually taste what you're eating, you won't be disappointed.”

“This was my first visit to Ameer's and I love Mediterranean food. The tabbouleh was delicious, the hummus seasoned well, and the pita has pockets and is moist. I had the lamb kabob and was very delighted with my choice they cook the meat to order and did so very well. The atmosphere is very casual and has a family owned feeling (because it is). I got to meet the owner who was very friendly and hospitable. I would recommend this spot for anyone in the Emory - Decatur area for a wonderful, causal evening with friends. I would also recommend this little spot for anyone picky about their Mediterranean food as it was delicious, I'll be coming back for sure.”
