Black Bear Bier Garten

This is the place to settle down after a fun day of riding the train and shopping the Ridge. The staff is above and beyond the best in all of Blue Ridge. The selection of ice cold brews are amazing! Great place if you have kiddos too. So many delectable appetizers to choose from. The most thrilling items on the list are the unique meats they offer. Never even knew some were available! Go tell Kim she is amazing and get a nice cold draft! What would you try first?

Stopped in for a snack and beers. Surprisingly good beer selection. Highly recommend the giant pretzel with beer cheese. Ran out of cheese at first, but our bartender was quick to make sure we had enough to finish it off. Delicious. Great place to grab a bite while exploring downtown.

Nothing but a good time here. Staff is awesome, great acoustic music on weekends, and you may get lucky enough for an appearance from the one and only Bear dawg. (likes his ears rubbed, FYI)

Food was decent. Staff was friendly and speedy. Typical bar food. My son did love the pretzel. It was pretty huge.

We had a good enough time. Very nice atmosphere and comfortable. Both employees (1 that was “new” and 1 that was training her/back up from a distance) openly admitted that they both had no idea what they were doing which was strange. TVs and plenty of drinks options were great!
