Cool place, good food. I was there on a very busy day and the staff was still great. I certainly enjoyed all the rock and roll inspired beers and menu items. All my favorites

The drinks where good, service was great, but the food.. some of the worse I’ve ever had. I ordered the fish and chips. Horrible. My girlfriend ordered some sort of sandwich with what was supposed to be roast beef. Horrible. We could not eat the food. If you are going here to watch a game, or drink, it’s the place for you, but don’t go here for the food. Just to add, they did take the fish off of my bill.

Update to the owners response. It’s not the fact that the food was not to our “taste” I love a good fish and chips dinner, however I did not receive that. In fact, we heard other diners stating the same thing about the food. Again, as I stated before , it’s a cool place to watch a game and drink, but you should find another establishment to eat.

My family and I ate here today and it was fantastic. The hotdog with sauerkraut and mustard was great and I got the Mexican style corn with fries as sides and they were both great as well. Service was outstanding and we all enjoyed it thoroughly. Keep up the great work.

Decided to stop in for a bite when visiting Downtown Blue Ridge and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Rare Earth Reuben and it was excellent. My wife opted to build her own hamburger and we both agreed that it was clear food was extremely important to Fightingtown Tavern. Everything is fresh, quality is never compromised and corners are never cut.

In case there was doubt to their menu, no, the fries are not frozen- they are fresh cut and piping hot delicious. Yes, they make their own sauces and ketchup, which tells you how committed they are to getting it right. The reuben was SO GOOD (not forgetting about the AMAZING slaw), I did not end up putting the scratch made thousand island on it....I dipped my fries in it instead.

The service was prompt and courteous, I appreciated them taking extra time to explain the menu. From the outside it looks like a cool little place to stop and have a cold beer and watch the folks walk up and down the shops, which it is that yet so...much..more. 100% worth it.
