Been twice, both visits the servers were AMAZING. Last night, Fri 8/23, service was STELLAR. Food had 2 misses, the chicken tenderloins which were dry & the pumpkin pie which horrible. I'm guessing maybe rancid due to the metallic, sour taste. In fairness, we didn't mention either because we didnt want to dissapoint our waitress. On the 1st visit the meatloaf was very dry & obviously reheated but chicken tenderloins were great. We will return because a few misses cant undo what the service has to offer.
Best place I've ever ate. Would highly recommend for anyone who loves good country cooking. And a laid-back atmosphere
Our server was very sweet and hospitable, but she got one part of my order wrong, which she then rushed to fix. Everything we ordered was good (fried mushrooms, meatloaf, fried chicken sandwich, mac and cheese), except for the chicken Caesar salad, which was by far the worst salad I've ever had. It was smothered in dressing, and came already tossed. It looked more like a... stew. It was awful. The morale, I guess, would be, stick to the Southern staples at this place. They were out of trout, which is unfortunate on a late Saturday afternoon.
I had pinto beans and turnip greens and they were good. The grilled chicken tenders were cooked to long and they were like leather. The prices were alittle high for the amount of food you get. All and all I probably would go back and try something else.
