I want to love Chicken Salad Chick. I love chicken salad and was excited to have a location in Rome. I’ve tried 4 of their varieties of chicken salad and soup on 2 different occasions. It’s so so. The environment is great ( although quite a few reserved tables) and staff are very friendly.
Yesterday I had the Buffalo Barclay and potato soup. The sandwich had no flavor. It is supposed to be spicy and remind you of wings. Sadly it didn’t taste like anything. Just bland and the toasted bread which should have had a slight crunch was flat without texture. The soup was a thin broth with large chunks of potato. It too lacked any flavor and the texture is off due to the thin soup and large chunks of potato. Really needs a thicker creamier base in my opinion to support the large pieces of potato.
The shining star in both of my experiences is their cookies. Small and delightful! Perfect after meal treat.
I want to love chicken salad chick but I’ll stick with either Jammich or Sweet Pickles for my chicken salad.
Wonderful service. Wonderful food. Beautiful building design.
Too few parking spaces. Very noisy. Needs something soft to quieten onside dining area.
I will return to try the drive thru.
It's the best in town! The one I Love best is the, "The Fancy Nancy". And you have to get the Grape Salad.
Love the outside seating. So comfortable and relaxing. Staff is so accomodating. Very clean and stylish. Great sweet tea!
It was as good as any other of the chain's locations. Tasty food at a reasonable price. They did make a mistake on our order, and it is a little bit bizarre that they do not have milk as a drink option when they have a kids menu. The dinner line was also quite long, and the people working the registers certainly were not quick. But any recently open restaurant has kinks to work through. So time will tell! On another positive note, the outdoor seating area is excellent.
Impressive! I would give this place 7 stars. Food is light and healthy. Employees are courteous and friendly. It may take a bit to get your food-however it is well worth it.
