Outstanding food. So happy we found this little place on our visit to Rome. Crabcakes were amazing and service fantastic - we had the nicest waitress that made sure we got our dessert order in before the kitchen closed. We decided to go back for brunch the following day
Excellent food. Flavored well with superb service. The pork chop was perfectly cooked and tender. The bread pudding was decadent and perfect with ice cream.
Food was definitely five stars! Best Creole I've had in a very long time! Service for Sunday brunch was less than stellar. Our server was very slow and not friendly at all. The food took forever to arrive. Our appetizer came in decent time, but the main course took over 30 minutes to arrive. I would probably go back and just request a different server because the food was just so good and generally worth the wait.
I ordered well. Tasso and Shrimp with Grits was nicely smoky with little bite, as well as creamy and rich. The Apple Slaw provided nice counterpoint, slightly sweet and tangy. When your palette was coated with one, you cleared it with the other and start enjoying it all over again from point zero. Go during Sunday brunch and enjoy a live jazz soloist, too.
