“Tried in 2017 and 2018 from the truck at the Going Caching event. It was hyped up and I do love grilled cheese sandwiches, however the offerings at these trucks were disappointing. Butter, bread, and cheese put together ahead of time and kept in a cooler. Selection on the truck was...ordinary both years except the mac and cheese sandwich, but even then it wasn't done well. We didn't expect that from a truck specializing in grilled cheese. I understand the wait and when the result is stellar, I don't mind. Bread cooks faster when it's not cold and softened butter goes on quicker and more evenly.”

“I chose to use the drive-thru. After waiting in line behind other vehicles, I drove up to a big sign with the menu and a little speaker box to communicate with the workers inside. The woman asked if I would like the new special burger. I informed her that I did. After waiting behind the same cars for an indeterminate period, I drove forward to pay for my food. I thought that was fair. The woman then told me I could drive even further ahead and they would give me the aforementioned food. She was right; I retrieved my food at the next window and it was the new special I asked for, no fault. The atmosphere was rainy and mid 80s.”

“Love getting breakfast at Ole Tymer BBQ. My go to is always the tenderloin biscuit. The meat is always tender, while the biscuits are always soft, fresh and delicious. Best biscuits and tenderloin I've found. Also the staff is very nice and pleasant especially Michelle. She always goes above and beyond and is always very friendly. She makes sure things run smoothly and your food is always fresh! Definitely a 5 star restaurant because of Michelle, the friendly workers and the food!”

“Took my grands here for dinner. They wanted to know when we could go there again! I cant think if a better recommendation for a family restaurant. We had the buffet : salads, pasta, and pizza. I love their meat sauce! The thin crust pizza was my favorite, but the kids preferred the thick crust. They also loved the self serve ice cream for dessert. Great service, very clean. All for under $30 for 4 people. It's a bit of a drive, but we will be back!”

“Went to this really cool place with my Mom and family. It is home of the award-winning Sam Burger which was absolutely delicious. There is a really neat winged hippie bus, which is featured on Roadside America, out front. The restaurant itself has a private jet coming out the front of it. The private jet is also mentioned on Roadside America. It's a veteran owned business. The patio was nice to sit on and is adorned with cool red and green lights and plenty of ceiling fans. The staff was super nice and the environment was very laid back and relaxing. Can I mention one more time the Sam Burger was DELICIOUS! If you are in the Rome area I definitely recommend you stopping by Sam's Burger Deli.”

“The pizza here is amazing!!! The tomato sauce is yummy and the cheese is perfect. A lot of pizza places load theirs up with garlic to the point of where that's all you can taste but not this place. They had a nice jukebox that played classic rock which is one of my favorite genres. I also loved that they had old pictures hanging on the wall back from the 80's. Saw an old framed newspaper article that stated that this place opened in February of 1981!!! That's awesome!!! The only reason that I didn't give 5 stars is because they charged 50¢ for 2 cups of ranch dressing and 58¢ for 2 cups of filtered water. Every single place that I've ever gone out to eat at in my entire life never charges you for water. Other than that I enjoyed myself, my meal, and the wonderful surroundings that it had to offer. I will definitely be back.”

“Visited the restaurant with a friend on an early Monday evening after work. We opted to eat by the bar instead of the dining area because it was fairly quiet. The staff was very friendly and helped us promptly. The chicken risotto was excellent and my friend very much enjoyed his bourbon chicken bites. We're both very much looking forward to returning if we got back to the area.”
