The Father-in-law of the owner is an absolute joy! Very welcoming, informative about the menu and specials and a great example for the entire service industry. He's rivaled only by the food. The gumbo and mac n cheese is legit for it not being in Louisiana. Try it. The blackened salmon salad was delicious and plentiful. The the fried grouper special was perfectly fried and addictive. Judging by my son's empty plate, the kids shrimp was delicious. These weren't those skimpy things they serve elsewhere. Fried mac n cheese was solid and the fried zucchini special was perfect after adding a dash of salt.
Great, simple fried fish. Scallops are great as is the haddock. Fries and coleslaw are good too. Gumbo was even approved by someone who lived in Louisiana.
Everything we had there was amazing. Great gumbo. Best fried fish I've ever had.
Pretty good and worth a stop. I’m a fan of fried seafood even though it isn’t the healthiest! I stopped by planning to get the shrimp but saw the had lobster rolls and couldn’t resist. The roll was good and the fries fresh! I’m going back soon. The place itself is causal.
Stopped by on a Friday afternoon for an early dinner. Had the fried grouper plate with fries and hush puppies. Shoe string fries. Very good fish for being fried. The hush puppies were tasty and fresh. We split some shrimp for an appetizer. The shrimp were kind of a plain freezer type of fried shrimp. They need to swap out and get some fresh butterfly type. The food was hot and freshly made. The tartar sauce was good. I think sauces can be subjective to your tastes. It had a 100 heath score. It’s small with just a few tables and a self serve drink machine. I definitely think it’s worth a stop if you like fried food. I hear their fried chicken sandwich and strips are good too. I will try those next time.
