This is my favorite date night spot. If you’re in a rush, under dressed, or just looking for a great place to eat I HIGHLY recommend. Service 10/10 was only there long enough to order and the food immediately followed. All of the appetizers are incredible I recommend the lamb, calamari, bruschetta, and the steamed muscles. It really is all amazing.

My best friend and I came for my birthday dinner and had a lovely time! The atmosphere was great, the service was amazing, and we loved the food. The lamb ribs are amazing! Thank you Paymon + Basil staff for a great meal and a great night!

Honestly, I was far from impressed. I didn't expect my children's plates to be anything special but for an upper 30 or lower 40 dish, I expect a certain level of quality and not just a certain level of ambience. I ordered some sort of kabob that included a chicken skewer, I think a beef skewer, and a small Lamb chop.

I didn't think that the flavors were anything special, and I was not particularly impressed by the plate. I certainly didn't think that it warranted the price tag.

This was underscored when we ordered dessert. The waitress mistakenly brought me tiramisu which, granted, I'm already not a fan of it all. But I thought that this one was particularly bland.

With myself and my two kids, the total damage including tip was about $125. And I've been thinking all week, "why did I just pay a buck 25 for a $30 or $40 meal at best?"

I'm an old-school, Southern foodie. I grew up poor eating at grandma's kitchen table and I've eaten in the finest restaurants in the world. Paying for overpriced food simply because I'm in a nice restaurant is a huge pet peeve of mine.
