5 stars for quick seating (even for our party of 10), nice vibe, easy parking, outdoor seating options, and good food. 2 stars for service. Waitress stood at far end of double table and made us shout orders to her. Only my basically ignoring her prompted her to finally come our way when ordering food. Also service was slow; we waited quite a while after receiving drinks and appetizers to even get our order placed. Then waitress starts clearing table minutes after food arrives, while at least half still eating. We had more time with appetizers than she tried giving us with our meals. She wasn’t rude, just seemed inexperienced or incompetent.
Lastly, most in our party found their sign, which was apparently meant to be funny, to be in poor taste. It reads “Nothing is FREE in life, including our chips and salsa.” And of course they aren’t free anywhere; you get them if you are ordering food, so they are simply part of the price of your meals. If you get asked so often that you have to post a large sign on the wall, maybe take the hint that you aren’t meeting your customer’s expectations. ????
I’d definitely go back, as most of my issues were with out individual server and food was solid for sure.
I absolutely love the Tin Lizzy’s but the service at this location was disappointing. We were sat outside and waited about ten minutes for a waitress to take our order. We then decided to move inside, hoping for quicker service. We sat at a table nearest the bar. We were sitting for a few minutes when I noticed THREE waitresses, who looked very youthful, standing at the hostess stand having a conversation a few feet away from our table. I leaned over and asked could we get someone to take our order. They all looked at one another in confusion, one replied ‘yeah’ and they dispersed. A different waitress returned to take our order and apologized for the delay stating she didn’t know why our order wasn’t taken out on the outdoor patio. She apologized and provided great service. At the end of our meal, a man who I assume to be the manager because he watched us from afar after we stated we had not been helped initially, spoke to our waitress. When she returned she stated the manager wanted to give us a discount On our meal for our patience with the delay. Oddly, he never came to our table and spoke to us or addressed the situation directly. That will be my first and last time at this location.
Terrific setting both inside and in its neighbourhood. Delicious food. Above-average customer service. For what we needed from the dining experience, it was perfect! We probably would have enjoyed it more if we had had more time to stay, but I really appreciated that we notified our server of how quickly we needed to get on the road and how she worked with us to make that happen. I have a feeling if we had stuck around we would have enjoyed it even more!
I liked the restaurant. We sat outside and I usually don't like doing that but it was actually cool. The drinks were great. I had the Thai Basil margarita and it was really good! The tacos are pretty good and you order them individually. The food was good. Our server was nice and helpful but a little distracted. It was a Friday night and moderately bust so all was forgiven. The chips and drinks made the day. We enjoyed our appetizer combo of queso, salsa and guacamole. The chips were seasoned and really good!
