Emily's Bar & Restaurant

Speaking as someone who only eats at chef-owned eateries when we dine out, I cannot recommend Emily's high enough. Everything was exquisite. The chef goes overboard to add her personal touch, not just to every dish, but to every ingredient. Every single thing I ate, I had questions. What is this amazing flavor!? Wait, What is that?? I tasted savory, I taste sweet, but how can this be, what IS this? FINE DINING. This place is the jewel in Ellijay's culinary crown. Just excellent all the way around. Bravo!

Superior food, excellent presentation, delicious, ample serving sizes, reasonable prices for the quality. Interior is beautiful, excellent events room with dedicated bar. Owners make you feel at home. No other restaurant meets or exceeds this level of quality in the local area. Highly recommend Emily's.

Came for lunch with my (very hungry) son, then came back for dinner the following day (with my very discerning wife). Fantastic food, really could hold its head up in any major city. Delicious & innovative. Faves include the pork rinds, shrimp, pork belly, burger, carrot cake....Plus the owners are very attentive and charming. Best spot for many miles.

Tonight was my first night at Emily’s. Overall it was a great experience! Most importantly the food was really really good. I am a local so I opted for the special, which this evening was seafood mac and cheese. It was perfectly balanced and featured a well thought out combination of spices and herbs on top. The wait staff was attentive and the drinks were great. There are a few kinks in the chain but they all seemed to stem from the point of sale system being used. It was a bit challenging for the staff to input order information on the handheld device that is being used in the restaurant, though I am confident this is just a learning curve. Technology is great, and from experience as a business owner, learning new systems can prove difficult in the beginning. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t stumble anytime a new scenario came up when I opened my store. Last but not least the ambiance was top shelf. They have really utilized the floor plan and added the perfect touch of lighting a decor to make the place become somewhere you’re really going to want to hang out. I look forward to frequenting Emily’s for many years to come. Cheers friends! Welcome to Ellijay! Let the fun begin!

We Had an impromptu lunch there today, and it was wonderful. The shrimp appetizer was delicious, and the salmon even better (on a bed of thinly sliced cucumber drenched in dill sauce....wow!). And the service was outstanding. We’ll defiantly be going back.
