The Roof Ellijay

I’ve been looking forward to The Roof opening ever since hearing about it and seeing the construction downtown, so my expectations were—no pun intended—through the roof. So, I showed up for lunch on the first day it was open to the public and my expectations were totally exceeded! I had a wonderful view of the mountains as I was greeted by friendly and welcoming staff. My appetizer—the bologna sliders—came out quickly and vanished from my plate just as fast because they were so delicious. Let’s be real, you cannot go wrong with house-baked rolls and fried bologna. Not too long after devouring those lovely little sandwiches of joy, my chicken sandwich arrived and I was immediately impressed with the portion size! This sandwich was massive, flavorful, and don’t even get me started on the fries! From the fries which were seasoned perfectly (with what I hear is locally acquired) to the house-made hot sauce on the sandwich, the food at The Roof absolutely delivers! I’ve been starving for a restaurant like this to open in our area. Ellijay, Blue Ridge, and the surrounding areas have needed The Roof for a long time! I no longer feel like I need to drive to the Decatur area to find a restaurant with delicious and creative dishes, an atmosphere that is welcoming and vibey, all while utilizing high quality ingredients. I’ll definitely be a frequent visitor to The Roof and—if you’ve stumbled across this review while looking for a place to eat today—you should do yourself a favor and go ahead and start heading towards Downtown Ellijay!

What a great new addition to Ellijay! We loved our cocktails and our dinner! The meatloaf and the chicken sandwich were both excellent. Cool fun vibe with phenomenal views of the town and surrounding mountains. Super friendly staff. We are thrilled with the Roof Ellijay and we will most definitely be back!

We have been waiting and waiting to see what was going up on The Roof in Ellijay. It was a great experience to take my daughter-in-law and her girls to see the views and eat great food. The wait staff was amazing. The food was top-notch. The spices and seasonings and the way they created their dishes were delicious. Like a party in your mouth good❤️! I recommend The Rooftop Burger with all the goodies.I had a Blush and Bashful drink that had all kinds of really good things like elderberry flower and hibiscus and all kinds of good stuff with vodka. Anyone questioning going must go.I will definitely be bringing a lot more people there to experience what we experienced. Thank you Matt for being such a great owner and having a great vision for Ellijay. I hope that you are blessed and that you are very successful in this business. I've been waiting to try this place out, and it was worth the wait! We had a great lunch. The overall experience was amazing. The burger was good, the cocktail was amazing, and getting to meet and conversate with the owner was over the top awesome! Will be back very soon. Thank you for bringing a nice new place to spend time at.

Oh my goodness what a delicious experience! Love the atmosphere, the food and oh my the people are amazing! Oh and I didn’t mention the view. All were perfect. The Rooftop Chicken sandwich was to die for❤️ It was everything I had hoped it would be.
