Vinny's N.Y. Pizza & Grill - Duluth

Our waitress was very friendly, sweet and attentive. Food was delicious! Only complaint is they stopped serving their cheese wedges (mozzarella sticks).

Excellent food at reasonable prices. Service was excellent as well. Liked it much better than where we usually go and will be making the longer drive to go here.

I rarely give out five stars on review sites... In fact, I think this may be the first time that I have ever rated a place so high. Maybe it was because of how hungry I was, or because it was a cheat day. My experience in the restaurant didn't even last more than 3 minutes, I was there to pick up my pie, and then back to my house I went.

I'm rating the food. As a proud pizza loving New Yorker, I always rate pizzas on the a plain cheese pie. the crust, crips, thin, and delicious. When you pick up a slice and fold that baby in half, it maintains that oddly satisfying triangular shape at the end, showing that it is indeed a crispy crust. ^^

The cheese was stretchy, and the sauce wasn't overly sweet. The only criticism I would make is that it was a tad salty. In this case I would say that it's better a tad over seasoned than under seasoned, so a quick chug of some ice water took care of that.

The moment I took my first bite of the pizza, it took me back to when I was a good and went to my local pizzeria in Queens. I have always compared all other pizzas to that particular one that I went to as a kid for 15 some years. Suffice it to say, that Vinny's was just as good. My taste test will be how good their baked ziti is. :)

Parking was open and available, decor looked nice (despite my 3 minutes of actual in person time spent there), and people were friendly.

Honestly, it doesn’t look like much on the outside but the inside Atmosphere was quaint and charming! Table of eight, all ordered a different entree ranging from pizza to sandwiches to pasta to soup and we all agreed the food was excellent. Must try tomato basil soup! Isabella was our server and she was sweet, charming and attentive without being overbearing. Excellent service and we will definitely be back. Must go to place if you are in Duluth/Lawrenceville area.

???????? The service is fine. The pizza wasn't. If the decor was pleasant and didn't look like a haunted house, I'd give it 4 stars. My advice, take out a loan and modernize the place. After 6 months, take out another loan and conduct experiments to making higher quality pizza and flavors.

Thanks for the advice. Although that doesn't apply to me. Fortunately, I'm a wealthy investor with a portion of my portfolio consisting of 9 restaurant partnerships. This means I know how difficult the restaurant business is and how to scale for profitability and quality.

But hey, what do I know? Just because you run the quality of your business differently than I run all of mine doesn't mean you're not successful. Cheers, champ. I wish you all the best. ????
