Flavors of Africa - Lilburn & Atlanta

I walk past the food cart downtown often while on my walks. On my cheat day I decided to stop and order the Goat soup. It was soooo good & I definitely would recommend it. It’s spicy but good. The lady is nice & her working outside in this summer heat is real.

Listen, I know that experiences at food establishments tend to vary (sometimes greatly), but it honestly seems quite surprising to me that this business has less than 4 stars here. It’s my opinion based on reading the reviews and the responses from the owner that these customers simply had the wrong expectations. Quite frankly, I didn’t know what to expect from this place when I ordered my food, but in the end, I was genuinely impressed! Taste is a very subjective thing. As a Haitian man who’s gone from cooking/eating extremely well-seasoned meat foods to consuming a mostly vegan-ish diet, I know this all too well, so I don’t think that it’s fair to give a food establishment 1 star simply due to taste (especially re the vegan alternatives). Sure, if your food is burnt or actually not cooked correctly, let the world know, but don’t put the existence of a local establishment [and their ability to attract customers] at risk simply because your particular taste buds didn’t like the food. For example, I didn’t particularly like the smoothie that I got, but that’s fine … someone will; I loved the rest of the food though! Anyway, I’d like to say thank you to the owner and I can’t wait to eat from you again! Much love.

This food was absolutely amazing!!!!! I had the Vegan platter and I have been longing for a home cooked meal for quite sometime now and this really hit the spot! Thank you!!!!

Possibly the best African food I've had. I haven't yet dined in, but the quality of delivery, the food, and the personality/thoughtfulness of the owner is outstanding! I look forward to the day I can dine in house. In the meantime, I'm grateful for the delivery and quality. The Oxtails, Curried Goat, Eba, everything! Thank you!
