I unfortunately cannot eat spicy food but my husband LOVES the spicy octopus they make here. And I am very fond of the chicken soup. Especially when you add rice and make it into a porridge. SO YUMMY!! The owner is an incredibly warm person and the service here is quick and pleasant. If you are worried about not understanding the menu or service, don't be! They are happy to explain the dishes and find what you will enjoy. I love the atmosphere here too. You can choose to sit at a regular table or in a more private setting that has a little curtain you can pull down. My husband and I love this restaurant and eat here often!! Absolutely recommended!!

4 stars instead of 5 cause I wish they had more Kimchi in the soup and the place was really noisy. Big parties having dinner gathering when we were there.

Bally Budaejjigae is in the place where Busan Fish Cake Factory used to be. That place obviously didn't do too well in this location so let's see how Bally Budaejjigae does.

The menu has 3 main options:
    1.) Budaejjigae
    2.) Asada Platter
    3.) Seafood Stew

All these options are design to be shared just due to the portion sizes that are available.

I ordered the Budaejjigae this visit so I'll only be commenting on that. If you ever had Korean Army stew before. This is basically it. It's thick heavy stew with rice sticks, hot dogs, spam, kimchi and who lot of other stuff all mixed together to create a very filling meal. The stew is red and spicy. It taste great if you add the ramen noodles to it. Adding a slice of cheese is optional but it goes surprisingly well with the dish.

Overall, I'll definitely have to try out the other options the next time I come back but based on the first visit it left me satisfied.
