Went in for lunch after seeing a quiet humorous and entertaining review regarding one of the wait staff there. Well, let me say that Clara far exceeded the expectations set by the review of winter. Also enjoyed the coffee and cocoa rubbed brisket and the BBQ sauce with it more than expected. The flight of GA made bourbon were a bit on the pricey side but the bourbon was good. I'm not sure I wasn't overcharged on the flight.

The service here was fantastic!!! Andddd that's about where the positive ends. Just kidding, only slightly though. So it was our first time here - we were attending a concert next door at Boot Barn, so we figured we'd have dinner here. Got in easily enough (we had a reservation). The atmosphere is good. We were seated in a smaller side room with a fireplace going. Very nice.

    Here's how it shook out:

    Deviled eggs - not bad.

Chips and salsa - not much to say. It's chips and salsa.

Smoked Turkey Club - Naw. Texas toast was hard as a rock. Turkey nothing to write home about, considering this is a basically a meat place. I guess I was expecting something that looked a bit more carve-y than something you'd pull out of a lunch meat container.

Brussels sprouts - also hard as a rock. One of my dinner mates said something like "I didn't know brussels sprouts were supposed to be prepared al-dente". Flavor was great but bruh. Almost un-chewable. I ended up cutting the tips off a couple of them and eating them. Finally gave up.

Southern style green beans - SO GOOD. Not even kidding. Best part of the meal by a mile.

Pork chop - holy chewy piece of meat. It tasted great but seriously, who wants to chew that long. A real shame.

Another positive note: they have a decent amount of gluten-free options. I don't suffer from a wheat allergy, but a gal I often travel with does, and it is super helpful when a restaurant "gets it".

    Anywho, not recommended.

Only been once so having to give an honest review based on that one experience. I really would like to go back again and give them another shot. We were passing through town and I found this place on Google. We love local spots so decided to stop in for a quick appetizer. It wasn’t busy at all so figured it was a good time to grab a good and hot meal. The menu was impressive and it was hard to turn down the breakfast buffet they had set up but we were in lunch mode already. We kept it simple and ordered appetizers. Unfortunately, after waiting 30 mins for our food,
It didn’t come out as we ordered. We didn’t have time to wait for it to be made again so we ate what we got. I will say, the BBQ slider appetizer is delicious and the manager did come to the table to apologize and did discount our bill. I felt he was very sincere and his response made us want to come back again and give it another try. I would recommend giving them a try and hopefully we can get back there one day and I can update my review.

For the first time in my life, I enjoy winter. Our server, Winter, was amazing. She was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and efficient. The food was out of this world. We enjoyed the jambalaya, pulled pork sandwich, egg rolls, and salad and burnt ends chili. Everything was hot, fresh, masterfully made. The prices are appropriate for the quality of food. If you want cheap, you'll get cheap somewhere else. If you want quality, this is amazing quality for a modest amount.
