LocoMex On The River

Slow service. Takes a long time for them to refill the chip bowls. They have their good days and bad days. Food is awesome, sweet tea is other worldly, Drink refill time is okay.

I usually like LocoMex, but yesterday they were out of pork. So I couldn't get the carnitas. Then ordered a 32 oz beer and a few minutes later the waitress came back and said they only have one 32 oz mug and someone already used it.
The food waa good, and I'm actually having my leftovers for dinner tonight. But come on, ONE 32 oz mug?

Overall it was a good experience. Server was friendly, view was awesome of the river. (Maybe best spot to eat with a view in town) . The food was decent (but definetly not Authentic Mexican flavor I'm used to) but with their lunch menu prices you can't complain. Good place to grab a cheap lunch, I'll have to come back to try out their other dishes and maybe one of the karaoke nights.

The food was very good but the server was not. There were only two other groups of guests and it still took over 30 min. to get food after ordering. She never came back to refill drinks and I had to find her to get takeout boxes. She was more interested in talking to men at the bar than she was in serving other customers.

They were super busy due to early out for last day of school. The place was packed. They were short handed, the hostess took our order for the waitress who apologized for the long wait. They genuinely cared and were doing what they could to get everyone's food served. The food was good and everyone was busy but very pleasant.
