Had to slide by and check out the $2 Tuesday, always a great atmosphere with big smiles and good food... The wings have been calling me and that oh so wonderful peach lemonade named The Egypt. Don't believe me come see for yourself..
Dropped in for the catfish with sweet potato fries and greens. Ended up also trying the shrimp and grits. Wow. Soo good. I'll be back.
Update: Went back for popcorn shrimp, grits, mac n cheese and sweet potato fries. Good.
Food was really good. I ordered the catfish nuggets with veggie rice and mac. Hubby had wings, mac, cabbage and yams.
Even though there was a misunderstanding the owner fixed it and I was satisfied at the end. I plan on returning to try other dishes.
Update: The owner dead reached out to me. And told me that they had a family emergency. And they couldn't make it to the restaurant to put a sign on the door. That was very professional and honorable of him. He also offered me a 10-piece Wing meal. So yesterday my daughter and I went to The restaurant for dinner the atmosphere was beautiful. The chicken wings were a little small, but they were delicious. The fry okra was fresh. The owners are very personable. He came out and introduced himself. He talked to us and told us that him and his wife. Did everything in the restaurant they put the floors down their self they? Installed the customer service counter the coolers the tables everything. I did promise him that I would come back and try some other things so I do plan on going back. I definitely would recommend this place to family and friends. End of update
I cannot stand when I go to restaurants to try to show my support and the sign on the door says Monday through Friday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and it is 1:38 on a Monday and the restaurant is completely closed. I think that is really bad for business so I did not get to try to food I will probably returned just so that I can try to food and actually write a review about the food and then I'll update this review once I do please follow me on IG@fat4noreason for all your hottest and latest food reviews in the metro Atlanta area
I went to Carrie's a short while back and had their blackened fish, greens, and sweet potato fries. The food was amazing and the location is a nice cozy spot. This place is definitely on my revisit list.
