We started with chips and salsa. Both are homemade and fabulous! Our group was hungry so it helped white we waited on our food. We had a party of 7 and only 2 of us ordered the same entree. From fried shrimp, shrimp tacos, scored flounder, fried oysters and a steamed platter. All were delivered in a timely manner and came out hot and fresh! It was all delicious!
Fun and attentive staff. Good selection of seafood. Some non-seafood (steak, porkchops). Good selection of wines, beer, and cocktails.
Great view of the Sunbury River (or Medway, as it's shown on early maps).
An addition of dark beer would be appreciated, but it's not a deal breaker.
I really really liked this place!! The food and drinks as well as the atmosphere are all excellent!! We were there on a Saturday afternoon so we had to wait about 45 minutes for a table, but we had 7 in our party so that was to be expected. The owners are very friendly as well as the rest of the staff too, overall I highly recommend this restaurant.
Interesting layout, with long walk through crab paraphernalia. Very busy at 5:30, lots of young families. Fortunately, we had seen on their website that you can call ahead a couple of hours to reserve a place in line. Fast service, excellent waitress...the only negative was that the fried oysters, and grilled shrimp salad were nothing special, oysters tasted of nothing, and small shrimp might have started out frozen. Perhaps the steamed dishes would have been more interesting. We will go again and find out!
Beautiful scenery with a rustic feel. Crazy busy, so call for reservations an hour or so before heading out. Hardworking, professional staff kept it humming along. They are definitely busy, but very attentive. So, with all that said, the food is absolutely awesome. Everything is fresh, hot stuff is hot and cold stuff is cold, and it is exactly where you want to be on a summer (even though it's supposed to be spring) evening in Savannah.
